Alpha Omega Associates Website
Posted March 26th, 2010 in Case Studies and SilverStripe
I've just completed some changes to the Alpha Omega Associates private detective agency website which included switching it over to SilverStripe and making a number of layout and content changes so thought I'd share it here.
Alpha Omega Associates Private Detectives
OK, so they're not allowed to be called private "detectives" under New Zealand law but it has a much catchier ring to it :) They are in fact licensed private investigators.
Here's a screenshot of the website:
Change over the SilverStripe
The site had previously been using a CMS I created myself but I switched it over to SilverStripe pretty quickly and easily (it took about an hour). Because there are relatively few pages on the website I just manually created all the pages and copied the website content over in the SS CMS.
Layout and content changes
We added a footer to the page template to have some links not in the top navigation, some contact information available on all pages and a couple of logos to show Alpha Omega is an employer of volunteer fire fighters and accepts VISA and MasterCard as payment options.
We added the list of services to the right side of the homepage to give new visitors more places to quickly and easily access along with some important information relating to AOA's PI license.
The rest of the changes were mostly content changes and the addition of a couple of new pages.
