Fedora 8 has been released. Yesterday I showed a few screenshots of the Fedora 8 Gnome Live CD, and today we'll look at the Fedora 8 KDE Live CD with a few screenshots.

The screenshots of Fedora 8 from the KDE live CD below were taken at either 800x600 or 1024x768 screen resolution and have been scaled down to 600x450.

This shows the initial boot screen when booting into the Fedora 8 KDE live CD.
This initial screen is the same as the Gnome Live CD.

The Gnome Live CD shows a login screen (although you can just click the login name to login) whereas the KDE Live CD logs you in automatically. This screenshot shows the KDE loading screen.

Running the Fedora 8 KDE live cd on VMWare, the screen resolution was only 800x600. This screenshot shows me locating the display configuration option to change the screen size resolution.

This screenshot shows the screen size resolution dialog on the Fedora 8 KDE live CD. So far so good.

Hmm, I have to log out and log in again? The Fedora 8 Gnome Live CD just made the changes automatically. I tried to log out but the log out widget was broken. So I restarted the X Server and still had a 800x600 scren resolution. I was able to log out and log in again but still 800x600. And trying to change the resolution again meant I couldn't log out again... Still some bugs there then...
