The Linux CD Mall is now closedThe Linux CD Mall is now closed

Last night I closed my Linux CD Mall website for sales. I operated the Linux CD Mall from February 2005 until May 2008 and it has been an excellent experience for an e-commerce website developer to have his own e-commerce website. However I have too much other work going on at the moment and into the future; the CD Mall, while a reasonably nice earner, just doesn't stack up on a dollars per hour basis which is how I make most of the rest of my income.

I would like to thank all the people who have shopped from the Linux CD Mall over the past three years to buy Linux and BSD, especially those valuable repeat customers who returned time and time again. There are many other Linux and BSD vendors out there and I'm sure you'll be able to get good service from them as well.

As far as the website is concerned, I have put up some messages indicating that it is no longer possible to order from the site. The intention at this stage is to turn it into a blog and information site about the various distributions and include a directory of where to buy Linux. The blog part of it will complement my Electric Toolbox blog (i.e. this website) by covering distro related information, whereas this site concentrates more on LAMP programming and issues experienced with web servers and various applications.
